Story of my life

So fast, I am here in Slovakia for almost 2 months now. Every thing seems to move on slowly and steadily towards our missions and goals. Even though 2 months are not that long, I have found some comfort and differences living here with my family.

First of all, the comfort. Staying here in the season of summer is a blessing. Super hot weather didn’t last that long, mostly are breezy, sunny and windy days. I am staying in a village called Valaska Bela, surrounding with lots of nature and your neighbours are mostly your relatives. My son loves to pick fresh berries from the bushes and I love to do my work outside. The village is quiet except when one of your neighbour’s wife decided to get too drunk and start cursing. This is what I love about simple life. Don’t get me wrong that I don’t miss the busy life of city. I do miss it a lot when I want to get some of the things that are not common here. For example, authentic Asian food, my Bodyshop facewash, Lazada, Grabs and Shopee! Sounds like I missed more of city life in Asia.

People here love to do outdoors activities especially hiking. Though I only hiked twice since I am here, but I am sure it will be our weekly activities soon when we settled every thing down.

When I first arrived in central Euroupe, I realised one thing that is really odd to me. They love to separate their toilet bowl and their shower room. Even the basin is in the shower room. Imagined you just shit or peed and you need to go to the other room just to wash your hand. For my personal preference, I like my basin near my toilet bowl, so after I do my business, I can wash my hand before touching anything else. But, some part of the places I stayed do put a very tiny basin next to the toilet bowl.

The other thing I noticed, there was no bidet shower. (Just googled up the word). It is so odd for me not washing up my ass after poop or peed. I know I talked about toilet a lot here, but it is just odd for me. When I was in Vietnam, the other odd thing that I am not used to was throwing the used toilet paper in the bin. Cause if you throw it into the toilet bowl, I guaranteed that it will get stuck! No matter how much you poop.

Anyway, for all the differences, these are not that bad. At least I can get use to it the longer I stay. There are always pros and cons, just need to look at the bright side.
