Market!!!
Went out to a park last week with the family and stumbled upon some market. Not really an art market, but they are selling all kinds of traditional arts and crafts. I was so amazed and glad I went to the park cause I got myself some precious wood with so much cheaper price than online market! I even get myself the suppliers to help me to customise the size that I want! What a bargain and what a great find.
This is not so cheap. It is €10 but the quality was amazing! It is at least more than 2cm of thickness! Wasn’t sure at the beginning to use this birch wood cause I prefer lighter color for easier to paint and I used to draw only on basswood. In the end, the results after I tried painting on it, I felt great with the texture!
This is birchwood as well, I think but lighter in colour and cheaper. I bought it at the market for €3. Haven’t try to paint on it, will see how it goes.
I found this when we were heading home and I’m glad that I saw this. I love the colour and the size and it is cheap. €4
The Slovakian likes to use the unvarnished wood for their chopping board. Not sure how it supposed to be, cause if not mistaken most of the chopping board had a layered of varnish at least. The texture wasn’t extremely smooth, which is why it is so good with absorbing the colour and I’m loving it a lot!
More to go! Will post sneak peak from time to time in my instagram. Do check it out. IG milkville
Not finish yet but already had an idea on how I want to approach for both of the wood!
