Christmas is coming!

Feeling more and more like home now. Not just beacuse finally we bought a house, it was the feeling of being with family again. I do miss my parents a lot, and I finally realised how my husband felt every time when he was in Asia during Christmas. We still keep the tradition even though we were in Asia, ie. We cooked traditional food and open the Christmas present on the 24th! Yes, Slovakian open their present on the 24th and it wasn’t Santa who brings the present but baby Jesus.
Last 2 years when we were in Vietnam, I remembered my husband was so angry at me cause I brought our Christmas tree all the way from Malaysia and our luggage went overload. We paid almost as expensive as another airline ticket. But in the end it was worth it because I knew when we are heading to a new place and not fimiliar with it yet, it will be difficult to get ourselves prepare to have a celebration at home. So, in the end, the last 2 Christmas in Vietnam, we used our fake artificial plastic tree and it brings so much memories with us. This year, we have a real tree and a big one! I never had a real one before. It was so beautiful and it is hard to get one that wasn’t looking like bald tree or uneven branches growing around it. But my husband found one!

Though moving in was tiring, preparing for Christmas deco and cleaning up too, I managed to do some digital drawing and traditional art. Here are what I’ve been drawing. Not sure I want to sell the wood plaque painting, will decide later.

I bought some plants for our house too. They did help to brigthen up the place with some greens. But I am not a green finger at all. One of my plant didnt survive well, it is the senecio teardrops. Not sure I didn’t put enough water or it is too much water. But other plants seem to grow pretty good and one of them move! This is because they contract and expand depending on how much light they need and how much water I gave them. So cool!
