My First Market In Bratislava
Finally I can go on a market. It is the decision I hesitate every time because of my husband’s work and someone need to look after my son. So this time I told my husband, I need to get more exposure for my work, if not it will aways be buried under, unknown. He is very supportive and he tried to arrange most of his work in some other day without interfering with the date that I’m going to have my market. So YEAH!
Been doing more of my air dry clay product and so far the progress is getting there. I had opened some market before back in Malaysia and I think I am well prepared for it. So, it is time for me to do some shopping to get myself ready. First time trying to order online with ALIEXPRESS and I can tell you that it is addictive. Majority of the shop in ALIEXPRESS has free shipping and the price is so cheap. But I do have to bear in mind cause the tax here is insanely crazy. Any product that is more than €20 need to be taxed and it is 10-20%! So I have to buy from different shop to deliver in different package. Anyway, what I bought in ALIEXPRESS were all the packages I need for me to open in the market. ie. paper bag, thank you sticker, price tag and pouch. Yes I bought pouches for my air dry clay product, so it will be easier for me to pack and sell with it’s unique selling point. Buy this one and only handmade product that comes with a pouch!
Other than this coming market, I’ve applied for another one which is 2 weeks later. It is a bold decisions because my husband thought that my products stock will not be enough for the next market. Insanely how he believes that my shop can sell so well. But I’m pretty sure I won’t be selling much on my first market, but only a test to see how I should price my product. But I still haven’t get any confirmation from the second market which I believe to be a better target audience and it also happen on the weekend. So finger cross.
