Finally Is My Turn To Shine

If you read this now, I’m so over the moon and on the same time so pissed because I just wrote the whole blog but it was deleted and can’t be undone. What a turn off. Anyway, here we are, starting from the beginning telling you, how happy I am that I finally have my own little exhibition. I think this is a very good start, just in a cosy friendly cafe instead of any art gallery, it can be so intimidating with all the critics.

I would like to say my gratitude to Sedmitchka Coffee Roaster and Juraj Jaros because they have given me an opportunity to expose my artwork with so many help and guidance along the way. I was given all the free space and freedom to create my own artwork placement in their cafe. Usually, there will be at least a few restriction like no nailing on the wall, no double tape on the wall, and only certain space area to be give without interfering with their own decoration. But Sedmitchka, Onderj, Andrea and their parents came all the way to help, from writing up a small article to introduce my exhibition in the community to setting up. Full help services from the start till the end!

Juraj himself is also an artist. He had his own exhibition in Sedmitchka just before mine. Frankly speaking, because of this opportunity, I am so lucky to have met Juraj who given me so much help and guidance in setting up my own exhibition. I don’t think I can manage all of this by myself, even putting up the artwork I will have self doubt of whether it will stay firm on the wall at all or not? He helped me on how to place my artworks and did all the physical work. He had so many reasons to not help me at all, but he did it anyway. He talked with my husband while we set up for the exhibition that he was pretty disappointed on their own art community artists because non came to support. I know how hard to penetrate into the art industry when you are an outsider, but not supporting each other in your own community, is a bit sad to hear. I can start to imagine myself now as an artist in Slovakia, hope I get to meet like minded artist like Juraj and expand my network around the world. I am really really lucky!

Anyway, I know nowadays the attention spam on reading a blog is really really short, I will try to keep this nicely wrap here with lots of photo on behind the scene.
