Fire up!

After the market, exhausting but definitely fire up to make more! Some of the product in the market inspire me to create and getting some of the idea of how I should go forward. But one thing for sure, I got to stick to my original art style. I know I am pretty fickle about my style cause it always comes to how I felt during the year. Like my initial drawing style was pretty straight forward with a very oddly nose. Made those mostly in jewelry and why started with these was because I want something quick and easy to draw but still have some of my character intact. Then my style went to animal with human characteristic, or anthropomorphism. Always have to google the word cause I kept on forgetting it. Felt inspired by some of my cool friends I met in Penang in one of my market last time. Went to try out how I can draw them and it turn out something I really like. So, my style changed and moving with these drawing to sell as my illustration artwork. I made books along the way, was selling pretty well but then more and more vendor coming up with something similar. Making book was very tedious, I self cut the paper and buy in bulk in factory outlet. Imagine the paper is super big and you have to divide it to make use the most of it so there will not be too much waste.

Anyway, went to Piestany today to buy some dried moss and flowers. Didn’t expect the address given wasn’t a shop but a storage instead. But they still agreed to meet and letting me buy straight from there. So while waiting, my husband and I went to one of our favourite cafe called Norma cafe. They have one of the coolest design space and feeling so hip just to sit around there.

After the nice coffee, we went to buy some dried moss and dried flowers. It wasn’t the cheapest but at least I got to mix and match the things I want instead of buying in bulk. The shop is call MossDecores.
